INCIT Climate Camp - RUTA
INCIT Climate Camp - Ruta starts from this urgency: giving young people the tools to observe, question and narrate the climate crisis through cinema. Over a cross-border film school between Italy and France, 30 participants explored the transformations of Alpine territories and turned them into three bilingual short films, using filmmaking as a way to connect environmental awareness, collective creation and new forms of storytelling.
The project
INCIT Climate Camp - RUTA brought together 30 young people from Italy and France in a free training programme combining online sessions and residential weekends across Alpine territories, from Haute-Savoie to the Valli di Lanzo and Valle d’Aosta.
The participants were guided through a collective creative process designed to explore the transformations of Alpine landscapes caused by the climate crisis. Through different cinematic languages and approaches, they developed three bilingual short films: Distacco Death Renaissance, Écouter and Une Montagne de questions.
The project connected environmental awareness, filmmaking and cross-border collaboration, turning the Alpine climate crisis into a shared creative investigation. The three films premiered at Festival CinemAmbiente in Turin, opening the process to the public and creating a moment of dialogue between participants, organisers and the wider community.
